Matt Lauer's Wife Reportedly Leaves Their Home, Al Roker 'Trying to Process' Lauer's Fall

Page Six reports that Roque left with Romy, 14, and Thijs, 11, for the home of "her family in her native country" of the Netherlands.
The couple's eldest child, their son Jack, is at prep school outside Manhattan.
Roque briefly filed for divorce from Lauer in 2006, citing "cruel and inhumane" treatment.
Meanwhile, more people close to Lauer are reacting to his shocking dismissal. Former colleague Al Roker said late last week he was "trying to process" Lauer's firing and the allegations against him, while his ex-wife, Nancy Alspaugh, defended his character, saying, "I couldn't imagine that anything that he would have done — that would have been so out of character for him — that would have caused that reaction."
It has been reported that Lauer's lawyers have been pushing for a "golden parachute" following his firing, which could be worth up to $30 million. A CNN source states, however, that Lauer "will not be paid past his last day of work."
